We've got a decent sized turkey, even though there are only 4 of us, as if we're cooking one anyway we might as well eat it cold on Boxing Day, take some to my uncle, freeze some to make pies later, have some in sandwiches and make an almighty batch of stock. No need to have anyone over just because it's more than we need on the day.

I don't know many people who are making use of the rule relaxation. Maybe I just know lots of sensible people?

I agree @LG_ , and we certainly won't be going anywhere.
We figure that we've got this far by being sensible  -  so why blow it now?

I'll have Christmas with the man I love, so what's not to like  luv
We'll hopefully catch up with our families next spring.

We don't have the turkey problem as we eat a plant-based diet.

No turkey or twiglets here!   No mixing either, except the Creole cake which is yet to be made.

  • We have swapped our Turkey order for pheasant,  never had one at home before,  thought we would have something different as we are not catering for the masses as usual.
