Hopefully something more effective than telling millions of Italians that they're about to be quarantined then watching them flee like diseased rats leaving a sinking ship...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

You do know that COBRA means Cabinet Office Briefing Room A, doesn't sound as impressive now.

I can't unsee them all sitting around a table in a bunker wearing only their underpants, string vests and socks with suspenders😖

    Stoppit @B3 😱

This flippin virus could prove to be the deathknell for some of our highstreet shops ... so many more folk will be shopping online.  I realise that I've just ordered some stuff ... make up, perfume etc, that ordinarily I'd have popped into Boots and Bodyshop to buy when I was in the city.  Now I'm worrying about our wonderful Norwich Market ... it's not a place that lends itself to folk 'keeping their distance'.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

One of the options being discussed is asking people politely to cut down on their socialising. It does make you wonder how drastic things need to get before people give up their daily natter over a Starbucks.

Also the advice is you only need to wear a mask if you have the virus so do we treat anyone wearing them as infected?

It will be interesting to see if behavioral changes due to this virus has a positive impact on normal flu numbers. Ironically that could save more lives than are lost through COVID-19.

I see that NHS authorities in London are considering asking medical staff to be clean shaven to prevent germs hiding in their face follicles, can't see the human rights/unions agreeing to that.
