Saw almost nobody, and in the pharmacy we stood 3m apart - one man was in looking for Paracetamol plus for his elderly parents but they didn't have any thanks to the panic buyers. He got quite upset, I really felt for him

I've been wondering ,why if many countries are in almost locked down states should cases not drop off more?

I assume that if everyone went into complete isolation for the complete period that each person per household could contract virus, then it would  have no one to spread to.

Why then is it predicted to be months rather than weeks for the worst to be over. Is it because  we aren't totally locked down and are still in contact with others, when they go to the shops, for walks, into hospitals. Added to those that don't  heed to the advice?

There's also been an increase in testing so you get a bit of a 'false' increase in numbers because of that.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

My OH had that letter from the NHS too. In it, it said because of his reason for having  to stay indoors, I had to stay in for the 12 weeks too!
Thank goodness for home deliveries, family and friends dropping things on the doorstep.  Thankfully he has his medication delivered too.

@star gaze lily- it's because, if you go out, and contract it from someone, hubby is at far greater risk than if he was fully fit  :)
If you even got a cold, he would be more badly affected than someone in full health.
Opposite way round for us - because daughter is unwell,  if I go out, I risk passing it on to someone else.
    Same principle though  :)

@Fairygirl  Ahhh, just thought if one in the household had the NHS letter for the  12 weeks, it would mean the others would automatically   have to stay in too. I wasn't a bit surprised I had to stay in too.
Seems a long way off, but when you think it's almost April, look how quickly the months have gone since Christmas!!
Sorry to hear your girls are poorly, hope they get well soon xx

How is the Fairylet today @Fairygirl, any signs of improvement?

A young English/Catalan couple, who split their time between the UK and here, are now convinced they and their young baby caught it in the UK in December. They were very ill with classic CV symptoms but had no idea what it was. They are here now and recovered - arrived just before the lockdown.

Just the older one @star gaze lily, but she's much better today thanks.  :)
Hope you're both ok - glad you can get supplies. That helps enormously.

Hope you get your letter too @Cheyngel. Terrible for that man you encountered. The selfish folk who've been hoarding are despicable.

Thanks @Nollie- she's a lot better today, and not coughing so much either  :)
Presume the couple and baby are ok. Perhaps it's just as well they didn't know....
