Oh dear!  I have just eaten rice pudding out of the tin, I have been away from civilisation for too long. Maybe just reverting to my true self.

Rice out of the tin is the best, was it Ambrosia, made just along the road from me.

@Nanny Beach. Our local chemist will ' lend '_ you stuff if there's a delay for whatever reason.  Can you take your custom elsewhere?
    In London. Keen but lazy.

It was @Lynn and it was organic. Does that mean my standards haven't quite hit the floor?  I have no idea why but it always reminds me of my Aunt's cream teas, I miss those a lot!  Homemade jam and clotted cream on slightly warm scones straight from the oven. No, no stop it!

Pharmacists can do Emergency Supplies of your regular medicines except for Controlled Drugs if you are going to run out, if it is considered detrimental for you to go without.   If there is a prescription on the way, they will usually subtract from that and supply the remainder when it comes. If no prescription is forthcoming, such as you are on holiday and the doctor (or receptionist)refuses to supply one (I had a receptionist in Devon refuse as she said the patient had enough, she should go home and fetch them. This was Christmas eve in Derby), you will have to pay the full cost of the medicine, even if you are normally exempt from prescription tax.  Pharmacist cannot supply Controlled Drugs such as Methadone, Morphine, Fentanyl etc, until they have the prescription, even in dire emergency.
  • Anyone seen that report coming from china about a cure?I know, sounds crazy but I've just had a message from MSN about it? If they do have one or a vaccine at any point I think they should give the whole world it for free

A few times in the past Hubby has run out of stuff and they have given us a couple, they never even suggested it. No, its not a controlled substance, its antihypertensives, and 2 things for eye problems, (I was actually so angry I forgot to put them on note to GP) I wonder if this other lady has my prescription, because they did seem to think I had them delivered, no idea why because this is a village pharmacy, less than 60 seconds walk from my house, and they all know me (apart from the lady who served me this particular day I have never seen before)

Paul B3, the originator of this thread, has not posted anything, not just here but anywhere on this Forum, since April 21.  Perhaps he's too busy but I do hope he's all right.
He certainly hasn't and for someone with over 2K posts, this is rather unusual.  I too hope that he's all right, especially since this is a difficult time.
