Our local newsagent also had loo rolls available, at a good price too so bought a pack for daughter who couldn't get any in Exeter Sainsbury's yesterday.

I thought they were only self isolating for two weeks, takes that long or more to arrange a funeral. Especially in the winter.

10 million people are to be put under semi-quarantine measures in Italy. 3 months in jail if you're caught breaking the rules. It's not making that stock of bog roll look so crazy now :#
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

You can wait as long as you want - although many people like to do it quickly. I had to wait for a month in 2009 for my mum as the ground was under snow. With my dad, it took time to plan for a time when family could make the funeral from every corner of the earth. It got raised eyebrows, but I don't see why. Modern refrigeration means we can take good time to plan a good send off and not feel pressured.

If all the rest of the family die there’s no point in holding the bodies, the crem will just get on with it.

Great Aunt Sylvias funeral is tomorrow. Given that she was 104, her children and nieces and nephews are mainly in their 80's ,great nieces and nephews in their 60's , and 5 people in Nottingham have already been diagnosed with Coronavirus, what could possibly go wrong?

  • Being in the worst category medically for getting through this COVID 19 epidemic intact, is it time to wear a mask when going into crowded spaces. That is, of course, if you managed to buy one. Valerie

Lots of hand washing then? I suppose if you limit kisses and hugs, keep your distance and perhaps cancel the wake, it would be okay.

I thought the masks were really to stop you passing on the virus rather than to stop you from getting it.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

A mask will not protect you, but if you have the virus, it might protect others from you.
If you are at high risk from the virus, it might be more appropriate to avoid crowded places.
