Thank you I forgot about them @pitter-patter, after sowing them, so they were all planted a bit later probably. I'll have a look to see when I put them in the borders, and I have some in a pot too. They don't seem too fussy, and they also seem quite robust.
Had a look - they were sown mid April, and just tucked away. They were pricked out and potted on, and were about 5 or 6 inches in their own pots on 1st July. I probably planted them out at that point, and they just grew from there. The heads are quite green, then turn white. I've still got loads of them growing away well. This was from about a month ago.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
