That's beautiful @AuntyRach, and is inspiring me too. I was just looking at the flowers on one of my oak leaf hydrangeas as I'm hoping to get to the cemetery this week, and they would be ideal with the last of the sweet peas and some Ammi I grew this year.
I might even cut some today to see how it looks.  :)

Lovely idea @rock_hen. Makes a very special memory indeed.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thanks both. I just love when the Hydrangeas turn that deep colour as they dry. I find that if you let them dry on the stems, before cutting for arrangements they last well.

What sort of roses are they?

That is Rosa ‘Bonica’ @fidgetbones. It is a fabulous clear pink and blooms non stop from late spring until Christmas most years. It’s so healthy and had great foliage.

I’ve grown it in various gardens since Wonky was small. It now seems to be sold as a ‘ground cover rose’ ; thus one does sprawl a bit ... I think it was @Marlorena who told me that there is now a Rosa “Royal Bonica” which is more erect ... that us obviously the clone I had originally.

The only weakness Bonica has is that it has only a weak scent.

By the way, the hips are from ‘your’ Rosa glauca 🙏
    it is covered with them.
