Unfortunately, our very good surgery merged with 2 others and moved to a massive new medical centre a few years ago and 'service' went downhill very rapidly after that.  Up to 3 weeks to get a non urgent appointment (prior to Covid) and virtually no chance of seeing the same GP twice.

My wicker shopping basket has arrived!!  :)
I've wanted one for a long time. Had one for cookery at school a million years ago and thought i'd like one again. What a job getting one that wasn't made in china.
Finally found one, handmade in Scotland, made with willow from somerset and ayrshire.
    Can't wait to use it!
  • @Klink I have a veg trug that I watched being made at a county craft show (remember those?). I also have a wicker flower basket.  I use them both regularly to bring produce from my Allotment.  I'm sure you will get as much pleasure from your purchase.

I'm not sure it's truly a RTBC but it made me smile - I just received an e-mail from Samsung offering me up to £550 off the price of their latest phone.  £550 off?  I wouldn't dream of paying even half that amount for a new phone.

I finally bit the bullet and got a new phone last week. The prices of some of the new ones is astonishing. Mine is "mid-range" apparently and I negotiated a decent discount so it came down to less than half of your £550 (but not that much less).  My old one was only about 7 years old but the manufacturer had stopped providing operating system updates and it had got to the point where it wouldn't run many of the apps that I want.

  • That is often the way I find, you're forced into upgrading due to built in obsolescence.
