    @Dovefromabove while I was working on an Aussie outback farm our washing machine (an ancient twin tub) motor died just before Christmas, clearly being about 1000km from any repair man meant ingenuity. Hence we rigged up a small honda engine it was truly amazing requiring a huge boulder on top of the hatch to keep it closed and had to be ratchet strapped to the wall as moved around so much

    Our machine is connected and on its maiden voyage.😊
    JL have refunded connection and disposal fees even though it wasn't their fault the installation had to be aborted

    @Wilderbeast :D
    And @AnniD for the link. Thanks, there are some nice ones in there, and an idea to share with my other half who likes photography. A little project to keep us happy and cheerful.

    Thank you @Rubytoo :)
    Be warned, this is both heartwarming and bittersweet. If you are unable to see loved ones this Christmas it may be a bit too close to home.

    Discussing with my six year old granddaughter in Australia what she hoped to get in the stocking she so proudly showed me I was told"I don't really want anything. Santa brought everything I need last year  "
    I hope she retains that attitude!!

    After about 4 years I have cracked "The Mystery of The Itchy Face in Bed at Night "

    I bought some posh Egyptian duvet covers back in 2016 as I had been a good boy.

    Shortly after the purchase I kept waking up with an itchy face which was annoying.

    Now the penny has dropped and I have found that when I dry them in the indoors dryer they attract fluff by static.

    If I dry them on the garden washing line I dont suffer by itches.

    THis may not be the most important situation in the world at the moment but it is to me !! o:)
    Everyone is just trying to be Happy.....So lets help Them.
