    Watched a pair of bullfinches having a happy time chomping the buds on the big apple tree this morning.  Beautiful birds!  Hopefully they'll have left a few flowers to turn into apples later...
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Hi @Liriodendron.  Big fat buds on your namesake today.  Freebie from a member of the gardening club and planted in the last week of November.   Really chuffed.

    That's lovely, @Obelixx.  There are two tulip trees within a mile of here, one a lovely mature specimen.

    This is just a baby, about 2.5m high.
