Not something she'll want to repeat in a hurry then @KT53 but very pleased for yo all that it has ended well.   Congrats all round.

    1.  The builders have almost finished repairing and painting the outside of our house.  They have done a very thorough job at a very reasonable price.  Half of the scaffolding has been taken down, after casting its gloomy shade into our rooms for a month.

    2.  They have also fitted guttering and a downpipe to the garage, so I can install a third water butt.

    3.  There will soon be deep drifts of fallen leaves for me to kick my way through.  So satisfying; it compensates a little for the approach of winter.

Not something she, or they indeed, are willing to risk again.  The plan was for her to be sterilised while they had the sunroof open (she had C section).  She was hospitalised several times during the pregnancy and I really don't think she would be able to cope mentally, never mind physically, if it happened again.

Weather was gorgeous today 15.2c, felt very warm in the sun, washing all dried, throws, all fresh smelling.  Hubby wanted Duvet back on, it's been just the cover, got a 4 tog my side, but it's difficult to flick the bigger one over to his side.  Standard double bed, not enough room for anything larger

We never lose our winter duvet. I got up an hour ago to put the heating on.

My sister sent me this. It's where my daughter works. This is the kind of thing people forget when they're so far up themselves they complain at the slightest thing, and think shop staff are beneath them.
They should be made to read this every day

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
