Hi guys, Little update, I planted an acer on the right hand border in a more shady spot. It's an Acer palmatum 'Osakazuki'. It should have a brilliant red colour in autumn.
I have a couple of new Trachycarpus fortunei palms that I got on sale from palm centre. I've been thinking about planting them somewhere as positioned in the photo. Seems out of place, but in 10 years they should have some nice trunks and it will create a division in the garden. I just don't know if I have the courage to plant them in the middle of the lawn.! At some point in the future I thought that I could maybe have a path going between them and leading the the back area of the garden.
I'm hardening off my Musu basjoo and might plant it next week.
I also have my cannas that i purchased potted up and they will also be planted out soon. They should really transform the space.
Grass seed has just started to germinate in the patches, so I'm trying to keep off the grass..
Really coming on, nice to see some ground level photos too, the high shots are good for an overview but nice to see the plants in detail and the eye level view highlights really well what a lovely space you have there. Keep sharing.

Cut it all at the base a few weeks ago..and had thousands of leaves drop last week, the wind over the last few days was perfect to finish it off!
Too bad that the tree has ash die back. It does look so much better now though
