I strongly object to the over use of ellipses but you don't see me getting my knickers in a twist over it...

Oh dear ... I use ellipses all the time ... ☹️ I’d hate to think I was upsetting folk

Ellipses are like the machine gun of the grammar arsenal. Used correctly they're very effective but hold the trigger down and all you get is...................................

I recently bought a discontinued red Austin rose, The Prince, from the Netherlands, as it’s supposed to be more heat tolerant than many...

I love a good ellipse to Dove,  my garden design is full of squashed circles  ;)

No one likes a bully, Marlorena. :|  Sugar coat it with polite phrases and sprinkle ellipses over the top but I'm afraid this is a public forum and you don't get to dictate the content and how people use it.

@Hexagon …. oh no problem, thank you....  incidentally, you have a lot to live up to from now on... as I've just bought a share in a racehorse with your name...lol...

...he's a 3 year old that's suffered some injury problems, but never mind... a diversion from all my roses...

actually, I have just realised... I could have got 2 David Austin roses for that money... or 10 roses from Tuincentrum in Holland...

I also don’t understand the “it’s a public forum” argument. If someone wants you to leave them alone I don’t understand why you would want to continue to harass them and potentially damage their mental health. It’s already happened to me with someone else on this forum so @marlorena, I’ve got your back.
So wading in to a discussion that didn't involve you isn't joining in with the harassment or bullying? Honestly I get really sick of the people who like to be the knight in shining armour on this forum but as it is a public forum I just accept it for what it is. If Marlorena is the snowflake with fragile mental health that you're making out then perhaps she shouldn't start bullying people in the first place :/  The 'negativity' started when she stated that only certain people were allowed to post in 'her' thread.

It's widely accepted etiquette that an OP has right to be a sort of moderator for their thread, with many websites or apps allowing this technically and where it isn't technically possible, it's usually accepted.
Marlorena started this thread, so yes, she has the right to say that she doesn't want any brexit-importing-plantnazi-whatever discussions here because really no one wants to read that.
