The window cleaner has been and. because the weather is fine, he has cleared the leaves from the gutters.  I went online to book a boiler service and that's getting done tomorrow morning.  Two annual jobs ticked off.

    Very quiet on
    here today.
    Thankfully got
    to sleep quite
quickly and slept through till almost 8.
Popped to village shops this morning and got back just in time before the heavens opened and it hasn't stopped since. Eased off a bit but non stop rain and so very windy.
Dark too, we have the lights on.
    Cup of tea and
    a biscuit is calling
    me 😉🤗

Afties all. Bestie and I have had a very chilled day. She has actually got around to finishing off her wreath (started 2 years ago), noone likes to rush these things, and I started to knit a bauble. Her daughter joined us and she tidied out a drawer that seemed to contain nothing but sweets; chocolate coins, fizzy things, love hearts and QS. Sampling some seemed the thing to do.
SGL, glad to hear you got off to sleep quickly.
PF you have a LOT to say, don't be giving us that ! Let me see, wassailing, cats, falls, glasses, cats, colds, cats, have I mentioned cats enough???
Well done Joyce for getting important tasks sorted. Do you reckon we'll have any winter at all this season?

    Evening all.

We've been out all day. Went to Cambridge to look for some ski trousers for OH, came back with 2 tops for me...🤭
Spot of lunch then back to Bury for SM, pay in Christmas cheques, buy some new watercolour brushes for my course and OH found his trousers (as it were).
Absolutely gasping for a cuppa when we got home.

Chive - good luck choosing a new oven. So many different makes and features. I like my Siemens.
You're right about the Easter eggs. A packet of mini Creme eggs may have fallen into my shopping basket. Nasty cheap confectionery - zero nutritional value and stuffed with calories and that white poison known as sugar - but they are my one true weakness (along with gin and cheese and...)

LB & Rebecca - another Red Arrows fan here. Sometimes get them and other interesting aircraft flying over on their way to displays at Duxford.

Joyce - well done on getting the jobs sorted. Nice to get things ticked off the list isn't it?

Rubee - I could start a charity shop with the amount of stuff in my cupboards. Really need to have a serious clear out SOON!

Just having fruit and cheese tonight so a lazy evening is on the cards - hooray!

Hello T'Bird. I'm glad that your OH managed to find his ski pants otherwise you might have been getting a bit of verbal because of your tops purchase! My Dad would have loved to have been a pilot but unfortunately he was colour blind - not good if you can't tell port from starboard lights! Hope you got your lazy evening. I spotted the eggs in 'sco. For comparison's sake I had to purchase a packet of 'Enchanted Eggs' rolled in rose gold apparently. Not tried them yet but I'll let you know if they live up to the hype.

A very good morning to one and all. The moon is looking particularly beautiful this morning. Wolf moon tonight.

Morning PF. I cannot believe that we are into double numbers in the new year today.

Morning LB and PF.   It's pitch dark and I'm only up because I booked the gas engineer in the early slot and I don't feel human yet.
