Hazel I’m glad you’re okay and can put your feet up.

Just need to clear the bomb site which passes for a kitchen (I'm such a messy cook when I'm on my own) then I'm going to light the fire and sit and relax for the rest of the day.

Tomorrow is Mr TB's birthday so have kept that as a day without chores too🙂

Hazel - good to get your feet up!

Ante - I know you're busy so there's no rush for the recipe - but I would like it when you have the time to write it out please.

Oh wow Chive! That cake looks magical. Are they pecans on the top? I love it! T'Bird, I go to the SM first thing in the morning and it is equally as quiet - bear in mind that my 'first thing in the morning' is when normal people are still fast asleep in bed. I love it though as there are no idlers or pokey out elbows to hinder me. I can sometimes be handicapped though as there are often no tall men I can commandeer to reach things off the top shelves for me. I would like the recipe too Ante but seriously there is no rush and I'll just get it from T'Bird (please).

...Yes it is pecans, cherries and crushed hazelnuts, the cake had a couple of feeds with brandy so hoping it’ll go down well 😚.....
It would definitely go down well here Chive😁

Afters/ evening all. Just got in after the supermarket shop. Don't celebrate Christmas,  but OH loves Christmas pudding and all the other goodies. I can't eat  currants raisins etc. Or biscuits and cake, and only very little chocolate.  I do enjoy the virtual ones tho.
Finished work until the new year, so no more 4am alarm clock until January 2nd.

Cake looks great Chive.  Friend brought one round for me this afternoon.  She always puts plenty of marzipan on for me.

Lucky colleagues Ante with you doing more baking for them.
