Cake finished. The royal icing ws drying out so quickly I sort of 'snowballed' it onto the cake.

Very festive LB. Reminds me of the Norwegian snow we saw in Feb this year - pure white, deep and very crisp and crunchy.

Chive - no signs of mice at all. I am beginning to think that the damage could have been done much earlier in the year before I replaced the air vent covers in the soffits - they'd perished with age.
PF - tee hee - I could have done that as I still have the edible ink I used for my brother's cake last year. The DUMPF at the end reminds me of my skiing attempts. I would not like to snowboard. I love the sound of that vegetable/fruit display. I have no idea what you do wth persimmons though - I'd have to Google! Tell Mr M, I've crossed my legs in sympathy!

    Found some information:
I will look out for those in 'sco now as that is where I've seen them before. They sound like a super fruit.

Isn't that how our neighbours across the pond refer to 'khaki'?

Pansy - that song is my all time favourite Christmas non-carol. It's a classic number.

Never tried persimmon - may have to give it a go.
