Good morning all! Belated birthday wishes to LB, reading back it sounds as if you all had a good Christmas 🎄. Mine was lovely, quiet day with hubby then a Boxing Day with 4 of my children , 2 son in laws a and my grandchildren! Perfect! Lots of delicious food and some fantastic presents and time spent with loved ones you can’t beat it.
Work was quiet yesterday so not too bad
This morning We are going to meet with the humanist lady who is taking the service for mom and talk to her about moms life, mom did a book in the nursing home filled with memories so that will be useful to refer to. Hope it’s not too difficult especially for my sister who is really struggling.
Out  tonight to middle daughters, for Quizmas, should be fun. Food and drink and lots of laughter.
Hope you all enjoy your Saturday

Good morning Debs and PF. It sounds like you have a bitter sweet day ahead Debs. I agree with PF, my friend who passed away in August had a beautiful humanist funeral and the lady who conducted it was really wonderful.

Joyce, due to broken nights I have been watching a few Morse episodes on TV. The programmes make me smile as they are very much 'of the time' and nowadays they seem so very out of date. It seems strange to see a very young Kevin Whateley too. My sister is a huge fan of John Thaw and particularly loved him in the military drama, Redcap.

Debs I’m glad you had a lovely Christmas with family and quizmas sounds great.  My thoughts are with you.  Joyce it sounds like you enjoyed morse, quite a stately car.  Chive enjoy your time with fil today he’ll be looking forward to your visit.  I’ve had the odd chocolate too.  LB I didn’t see Redcapbutremember him as a barrister.

Lily's TV on and whirring. Looking promising for a garden observation. Rebecca - you are too young

Morning all.  I received a letter this morning to phone the physio department to make an appointment.  It's four months since the GP referred me.

Debs, my SIL had a humanist funeral and, as others have said, they are very good at finding out about the person's life.  It's good that your mum had a book of memories as that will be helpful.
