The frost hasn't lifted from the grass or soil today and there's another cold night in store.
I can't remember the names of any perfumes from the more youthful days and only use it now on the odd occasion.

M-U, I hope you get to the Castle fair tomorrow.
Chive, the landslide situation is still being monitored  with  the boreholes being checked weekly.
Ruby, I don't think I could face doing a big sm now that I've got used to having it delivered.

Back home after 2 shopping trips...

Did what I needed to do which included picking up a John Lewis Click & Collect parcel from W'rose. Except I asked for the parcel and went round doing the food shop while they found the parcel out back - and then forgot to pick it up on the way out🤬

Realised when I got home - so I've just been back to town to pick it up. Through all the school traffic - grr!

Now I need to start cooking but first I'm having a cup of tea!

Shame you can't go away Joyce. I'm sure you would enjoy being somewhere warmer.

LB - hope you're not feeling too bad.

Chive - your school does sound very organised with it's costumes. Love an infant's school nativity play. Remember going to one which featured a crocodile. I'm still not sure how or why a crocodile ended up in a stable in Bethlehem!

Rebecca - hope you're still nice and warm.

Pansy - how are the cats farting? and how are the new specs.

MU - I wouldn't have gone out in that weather either. Shame for the organisers though.

All this perfume reminiscing. At one stage I used to wear Tweed. Smelt some a few years ago and it was quite disgusting. Like the rest of you - I don't know if it's the perfume or me that's changed.
I love Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir now. It's quite woody and spicy with a strong hint of cloves to it and I love it. Have never gone for light floral fragrances. Same around the house. The only scented oil I use is a spicy bergamot / orange one. It's gorgeous.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Dear God M-U, I haven't heard that bit of dreadful news.

Thanks for all the good wishes ladies. Head feels like its full of cotton wool (it probably is to be honest) but its just a cold and I will recover. Good excuse not to do anything too strenuous. T'Bird, what a nightmare for you. I think I would have cried! I went out with a guy who wore Jo Malone stuff and he always smelt delicious. It didn't last but I missed the smell!
Do you know something, I think that my Mum wore Pagan. That name definitely triggered a memory. I remember Tweed. I used to wear a gorgeous scent called Coriandre by Jean Couturier (not a clue who he/she is). I wonder if I would still like it today.

Lily so pleased for you and oh test results are clear and hope oh has had a good birthday.  Birthday wishes.  LB I received postal vote a couple of days ago.  I've put the labels in the appropriate place and then stopped and have not completed it further????? I agree with your comments re our furry friends and how some humans fail.  Leaving their pets out in all weather, storms, heavy rain and snow when they appreciate some food and somewhere dry to relax.  Chive how lovely a nativity, they always make me smile.  Ante enjoy your time at the cottage.

Pansy it saddens me to hear of the distress that Elsa  is suffering .Sadly I do think that MU is right .
As you know we have had Alfie ( Rebeccas cat ) with us while her heating has been sorted . We have had some snarling and spitting from Casper and he is the cat that occasionally hisses at Alfie .
Bruno and Alfie are now playing together  . Rufus is very tolerant .On the whole all is quiet. Thinking of what could happen with three adult cats against one adult incomer  we have been very fortunate .It seems to me that Elsa would be better in another home .Although your two cats may never be the best of friends I honestly think that there should be tolerance between them by now .

When my friends and I were poverty stricken students we used to go to the perfumery department and use the free testers for our scents and then we would go to the millinery department and try on every hat in the store for a good laugh.

I must go and check out this terrorist attack. I haven't heard a word so far apart from what I've seen on Rez.
