Morning Ruby. It rained in the night here so roofs and roads are just wet as opposed to frosty.

LB lovely to hear the story of Terrence,  also passing of David Bellamy.  Chive one of the political parties arrived at the door this morning to offer a lift to the polling station, however I have a postal vote.  I wouldn't have known  where  thepollingstation is located.  It used to be in the old sports centre.  Its quite dark this morning weather-wise.  It looks like a heavy downpour is about to happen.  If any of you are popping out take care on the roads.

    Afternoon everybody.
I came home from school. It's grey and very cold outside and I can spot snowflakes. If we can believe to forecast, next week will be again warm. I'll have a warm tea before go out with my dog.

LB, I'll send you some cookies and today are honey biscuits on schedule to bake. I watched the game yesterday and it was a good match.  Dinamo missed his opportunity with Ukrainians. City is to powerful for them.

Good luck all with elections today.

I must also prepare for sowing Christmas wheat tomorrow. One of my dearest Christmas job.

It's another tradition connected with Christmas here. Wheat is sown in small pots on St. Barbara's day (13.12.). Belief is, if your wheat is thick and green on Christmas day whole next year will be fertile and abundantly. It looks like this:

    That's an interesting tradition Ante.

Afternoon all.  Rain has just started. Spent the morning organising kitchen cupboards as I'm getting a large sm delivery on Saturday.

PF, the car crash just about sums up this election.
Lants, you could have put Tigg's paw print on your ballot paper

I made mistake, sorry. Tomorrow is St. Lucy's day, Barbara is earlier. After Christmas  we give wheat to the birds. Similar custom exist in Italy and Portugal.

    Indeed PF, very interesting time.

Afties all. How much more horrible can our weather get? Don't all shout at once. Roads back from Bestie's were all flooded and I was never so glad to be home and safe.
Ante, I think that is such a charming tradition and I sincerely hope that your Christmas wheat is luxuriant.

Who was it who 'with her head tucked underneath her arm, she walked the bloody tower'?
