Lily and Rebacca,  hope you both have a good night and feel a bit better in the morning.  Take it easy for a few days.

Runners, none of the people who pop in eat biscuits or cakes with their coffee/tea so it's no bother and I don't need to be tidy for them either. :)

Ante, I hope you manage to get your lights up this weekend and also get some time to yourself.

    Pansy, how is your wrist?

Stormy tonight so I hope the recycling bin doesn't get blown over on the pavement.
    Good night all.

Good morning LB,TBird  and Chive. Another miserable day here . I echo LB and TBird , I hope all those with a bad cold are feeling better .Chive enjoy your tea and cake . OH has a dental appointment this morning . Take care everyone .
  • Morning everyone,
Had a better night's sleep and only woke up coughing a few times. Throat doesn't feel quite so sore, but my stomach and chest ache with all the coughing. When I popped out yesterday to get some more medicine, the shelves were pretty low. So had to buy a different cough medicine. OMG YUKKITY YUK🤢 I can only think the taste is so disgusting it must work!
Staying in today,  it's dark, hissing down and cold. Should write my cards, but I'm not in the mood🙁😂
Hope all poorly peeps are feeling better. Take care and stay warm.

Lily some of the cough medicines are quite yucky, hope yours soothes your throat.  Joyce I had a hygienist a good while ago and found it helpful.  Pansy glad to hear your wrist is more comfortable and you can do your hair. Your hubby did well with the dinner and it sounds like they were putting the world to rights.  Hope Elsa has recovered from the antics.  I've just arrived back from the nurse and had a review.  Chive last day of school before the weekend. i  would have loved to have worked at my old infants and primary school.  Good memories.  LB im glad you're feeling better.  Litter tray duty calls.

Why does it ALWAYS rain when I am having my hair cut. Good job I was armed with a brolly. I think I've seen the back of the cold - after two weeks I should have done. At one stage I wasn't sure if I would make it. As I opened the front door to leave, there stood a milk bottle. Hello, I thought, this new service was supposed to start on Monday. I had to wait to get home to ring the dairy and find out what was happening. Their mistake. I noticed my neighbours, who also must have signed up had a 2L bottle on their doorstep. Neither of them were in so I rescued the bottle and shoved a note through their door telling them it was safe in my fridge.
Chive what a lovely thing to look forward to - cake and tea - yum.
T'bird it is foul here. I'm going to have to put the lights on to see what I'm doing. SGL, when you were small did your Mum used to put sugar in nasty tasting medicine ike that song in Mary Poppins? Perhaps you could try that.
