Met up with family for lunch earlier today.  Place was busy but only had one person serving at the bar and taking all food orders.  A family on a nearby table finished their meal and left shortly after we arrived and left with food on the floor around and under the table, and trodden in to the carpet.  At another table a family with a young child were putting the kid's food directly on the table, no plate or anything, and food again smeared everywhere.  Where were these people dragged up!?

I read somewhere that some reception class children need to be taught how to use a knife and fork because they've been brought up on junk food in front of the telly.

When you see the way some younger adults use a knife and fork I can only assume that they missed reception class :D  A while ago I actually saw a teenage kid holding the meat in place with a knife and trying to rip it apart with the fork.

We went to the panto last week and I can confirm that kids are animals and their parents are just as bad. The mess and litter left on the floor afterwards was unbelievable. The staff were standing at the sides with bin bags as people left but I think most people had just left it on the floor for them. Littering is a pet hate of mine and it just shows how people are brought up to think someone else is responsible for clearing up after them.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I'm afraid the "it's up to someone else" mentality is everywhere.

    It's the
"everything is crap, it's all someone else's fault it's crap, not mine and it's up to someone else to put it right , but don't ask me to get off my *rse to do something and don't suggest I pay more in tax to make it better, that's up to someone else as well " syndrome

It wouldn’t matter how much tax people paid, animals are animals. Just means someone will get paid extra to pick up other people’s litter.

I was referring to the bigger picture, not just litter.
