  • I had one a week ago from a window company that I used. The annoying bit is I am waiting for them to come back to me about a couple of repairs that are needed, they were very good in the past but hey ho.

I left negative feedback last week about a seller. The page was extremely misleading re price, and when I contacted the seller, they weren't very bothered, so that's why I did it. Hell mend them.
I contacted another seller who had a misleading header too, and they replied saying it was Ebay who had put the misleading heading on, and they were contacting them to give them grief. I have no problem with that, but the first one obviously didn't give a s**t.
It was for mealworms both times, and I'd spent ages trying to get the best deal for a decent amount. The way it was written in the 2nd instance meant it looked like 2 bags of 5kg [so 10kg] for the price, as it was written 2x5kg. When you got to the checkout, it was 2.5kg. The 'x' was in place of a decimal point.
The first lot was described as 2x1kg, and turned out to be 200gms. Even when I contacted them with  a screenshot, they didn't bother replying. The problem is - it would have cost me three quid to send back, so I figured it was pointless.  :/

IMHO , ebay don't give a sh*t, otherwise they'd stop selling blue strawberries and rainbow roses.

I've reported a few fake plant seed adverts and they never get removed. Buyer beware I suppose but Ebay should take more responsibility for buyer protection.

There's been loads of articles about pros and cons of real vs plastic xmas trees recently and none of them point out that real trees come wrapped in that plastic mesh that can't be recycled. Another year and no one seems to be tackling the problem of that mesh. There must be tons of the stuff going to landfill.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

@wild edges:  I agree with that - those nets are probably worse than a complete plastic sleeve.
Back in the day (a long, long time ago!) trees were sold as trees.  If you were lucky, you'd be given a bit of string to tie around it, failing which you made the best of it!
I remember vividly mother going to the local market to get our tree.  Once she was satisfied with height and shape, the price (I recall it as always being "half a dollar" ie 2/6 - this was Norf London, after all) she would balance it on what had been my old pushchair - and I would have the dubious pleasure of standing on the footrest, facing her and leaning forward to grab the handles, the better to keep the tree in place.
It was scratchy and itchy.  It was painful.  But - oh!  the smell of pine!  And the joy of getting it home to be decorated!
Now that's what I call Christmas!
