Mix of naivety, complacency, denial in the face of the obvious, belief that they are superior and separate and, quite often, just plain nastiness.

Five hours sleep in two shifts last night but it's ok because I have the day off to spend with the family and it's a lovely sunny day. Except when I came downstairs I found the dog has had liquid diarrhea. Everywhere :| Instead of asking to be let out he's decided to spread it over two stories of the house and paint it all up the walls with his tail as he went along. He's a tall dog with a big fluffy tail. So much for my day off...

That's good to know.  My missus never shuts up the first time I tell her. :D

We had dogs and c *ts before we had a child. I could never understand why people had such issues with child sh**. At least you knew where you'd find it - in the nappy!

I've just finished steam cleaning for the day. It took several hours of cleaning up this morning, a run to the tip after lunch to get rid of his dog bed which was beyond cleaning and then several more hours of steam cleaning after that. I also came up with the bright idea to take him up the road to the stream for a wash off which worked well. Except I left him in the garden to dry off in the sun and he had another episode which resulted in me having to give him a thorough wash and hose off and then I had to wash and scrub the decking.
On my walk to the stream though I filled a big bag with litter and took it to the tip since I was going there anyway so that's my good deed for the day done.
Off to browse the web for dog beds now. Luckily I've got a nice waterproof one that lives in the car so he can use that for now.

I have certainly been questioning some lifestyle choices today :#  I've also been questioning decor choices and wondering why I talked myself out of tiling this room. Carpet was such a bad choice.
