Morning all/afties Pat. I'm giggling at you saying @Hostafan1 needing to wear chaps... ;)
Hope hubby is ok. These fires seem neverending for you there  :(
Very foggy here. Overnight temps have been higher than daytime recently, but it's that nasty dank, murky weather -back to nice frosty stuff at the end of the week - hurrah.
One extreme to the other for you @Obelixx .

Hope MrP hasn’t overdone it ☹️  And that the fire is kept under control.

Meeting a friend for lunch today, then a visit to the office for the last time to hand in my laptop etc.  Its really really real now 🤪

    Good luck @chicky. It'll be brilliant  :)
Found some lovely little mushrooms round by the shed when I fed the birds earlier, so I'll put them on the mushroom thread.

    Hugs to @chicky ... I expect it’ll feel weird ...

Strange temps here too @Fairygirl  ... I shall go and look at your mushrooms ...

Ok @Fairygirl 😊 I’ll sit and drink coffee and look at our first Christmas card to go up on the bookshelves.

I wouldn’t normally put one on display before December, but this one arrived yesterday from the staff in the office that handles my little work pension ... it’s been signed individually by everyone there ... as OH said, you don’t really expect that personal touch nowadays ... I appreciate it .. I shall send them an email to say so. 😊

Done them now @Dovefromabove. I'd got sidetracked with cotoneasters.....

Nice touch indeed. I'm stopping cards after this year I think.

  • I send a few ... not as many as I used to ... to rellies in far flung places like Wales and Tasmania ... and there are special friends I moved away from when my marriage ended ... we see each other only rarely but they mean a lot to me and I like to let them know that. 😊
