Morning all/afties Pat. That doesn't sound good. Perhaps some tweaking of your meds are needed? Dry for the moment here - but there was more rain overnight, from late afternoon onwards. I think we're getting a bit of everything today. At least I slept until a normal time. Are you driving today @Hostafan1? Hope there's not too many floods, and subsequent irate customers getting shrity about not having their quinoa....

Hi Chicky. We haven’t seen it yet, so you’re ahead, as usual. 😁 Did Chicklet enjoy her trip to the red centre?
She absolutely loved it Pat ❤️ Slept in sleeping bags under the stars ✨ (no tent), visited Uluru and Kata Tjuta with an indigenous guide, and drove to Kings Canyon and Alice Springs, so she got a sense of the vastness of it all (driving for 3 hours without seeing a single sign of habitation, and when you do its a one building station with a petrol pump and a drinks machine). She said she felt a bit strange going back to Sydney and its high rises 🏙.
Blue skies here today - a vast improvement on yesterday’s storms. I have two roses to plant - a new climber called Adelaide d’Orleans, which I loved when we visited David Austin’s garden this summer (plus I liked the Adelaide connection) and a shrub rose called Ballerina, which I’ve admired in many Chelsea and HC show gardens. They’re sat in a bucket of water now, and I’ve got my mycrorhyzal fungi at the ready 😀😀🌹😀
Chicklet seems to have had a great time @chicky. Lovely Hope you get your plants in. I keep looking at stuff I'd like -mainly clematis, and thinking, where else could I put one in...

@Fairygirl she really did 😀😀. Littlest chicklet is not one for superlatives (unlike her mother and sister ☺️) but on this occasion she really was “blown away” 😍
Morning all. I drank my coffee in bed and watched Monty Don visiting gardens in Australia and New Zealand. Can't remember why, but I saw very few of his "Around the World in 80 Gardens". New Zealand looked lovely, very green.
Tipping with rain again and very windy. I hope my flight will be OK on Tuesday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning @Busy-Lizzie ... it’s calm here ... only a slight occasional tremble of leaves on the buddleja. Are you heading for Norwich International or Stansted?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Slept 11 hours last night. Nice, but the aftermath of this cold is getting to be a drag. We've had strong winds and some rain overnight and the wind and rain are carrying on now between sunny spells. OH's golf was cancelled because of the storms so he's watching golf on TV instead altho all the lightning seems to be over Italy and the Alps. Looks like @Busy-Lizzie's getting a good soaking.
I shall get on and do the write-up for the patchwork tutorial - patched, quilted and fully lined zipped pouch for pens/pencils/make-up/sewing paraphernalia.
No fireworks here except at NY or the Fête du Lac in the village in summer and, occasionally, Bastille Day and then it's just one night and one set, no random "bangers".
Saw the Oz train ride was on just by chance so have recorded it. We did the Ghan from Alice Springs to Adelaide - lots of nothing apart form an occasional bunch of cows under a tree full of cockatos or galahs.
I hope everyone gets some sunshine today and fair winds.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Glad you're on the mend @Obelixx. I'm trying to fit a new pull switch on the girls' shower. It's not doing my sore neck any favours. As is the usual - all screws are overtightened.... I should put this on the Curmudgeon thread
