Cleaning used plant pots

What is the best way to clean/ disinfect plant pots that I have used this year so I can reuse next year?

    I just use soapy water and an old washing up brush. Finding the right brush is the hardest bit as you need something that gets into all the corners but an old paintbrush will do the job at a push.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Some people will tell you they don't bother to clean them, so you may decide not to bother.
    Personally,  l just use washing up liquid, (dissolved in water obviously !) , and an old paintbrush. 
    I just prefer to have them stored without a load of old compost etc all over them.

    Any teenager who could design a cheap, quick and easy system for cleaning plant pots would be well worth a GCSE.  Maybe we should tell the exam boards.  Or we could just pay the teenagers to do it for us.

    I've never cleaned a plant pot ,nor had any plants suffer because of being in "uncleaned" pots

    I tap them to knock out anything crawling .

    Not cleaned a pot yet.  Maybe if I knew when it was needed?  But I don’t think I’ve had any diseased plants...except perhaps black spot on roses.

    I sometimes swish them in the ever present water tray down by the tap. Sometimes, really means occasionally. Some of the ones I use regularly for cuttings etc are often sitting permanently in the tray there.
    Seems to be enough. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
