Some of it was really good and some was horrid. Loved Michelle's foxtrot and Kelvin's tango. Enjoyed Emma's Charleston but not the other Emma's dance. She always under performs. Karim's Paso was interesting. I thought Alex did extremely well.
I really like Johannes so I hope he gets his partner sorted out. Hope Will recovers and Neil too cos I don't like Kevin. Can't warm to Saffron either but that's mostly cos I don't like AJ thos he's not as brash as when he first started.
I prefer Cris to Mike B but really either could go this week.

Can't agree with that disabled lad getting a bye into the next round because he's injured. He's doing great with his medical problems but what happens if he's still injured next week ?
I think the bye concept is in the rules and other dancers have been given one in previous series. I had to vote for Alex again because she led that dance something that dancer rarely achieve this early in the competition. Mike wasn't so bad this week it actually looked like a dance this time. Michelle was very good she's very talented and should do well until the jive.
I thought the atmosphere was a bit flat this week, probably due to the worry about Will's injury and also Neil having to be replaced by Kevin at the last minute. If Will can't perform next week, he is out. There is a video online apparently of him getting injured, although l haven't seen it and l don't want to, to be honest. From reports it sounds pretty bad. I don't know if there would be an elimination next week if that is the case ? I did enjoy Michelle and Gio's foxtrot and also Kelvin and Oti. Liked Karen having a fight with the wig !
I found this week a bit bizarre. I think it’s because some of the dances didn’t match well with the music or costumes. A Halloween Samba seems wrong. A rabbit doing a Tango seems wrong. I really liked Karim and Amy’s Paso - but the judges didn’t really rate it. Maybe the Stranger Things idea was lost on them. If Shirley says it wasn’t a classic Paso Doble then I respect her knowledge, but as a performance I thought it was top of the board.
It wasn't a classic Paso but I have yet to see a "classic" salsa or cha-cha, both of which are mostly danced in hold or with at least one hand connected or close proximity and not with partners swanning off all round the dance floor.
The judges say they want entertainment and then miss the point when a new interpretation comes along and allow, even embrace enthusiastically, all sorts of messing with dances that have codes. Inconsistent!
That said, there is so much music about that is either proper Paso or has been re-arranged to the Paso rhythm - our teacher is particularly fond of a Paso Pirates of the Carribbean if you please - and so much fabulous tango that there is no excuse for some of the music travesties on SCD.
