I keep getting rain down my back as well @Obelixx, it perhaps wasn't the brightest idea to site the potting table under a big tree!Ā  To be fair, IĀ didn't haveĀ much space to put it anywhere else.

I'm in awe of all you lovely cooks, to me, making a cake is a big event which needs careful thought and preparation.

Afternoon all,Ā  Been to visit mum this morning she wasn't in very good spirits so it was a bit of a trial but by the time I left she had cheered up.
I baked a Captain Sugar's Chocolate Cake yesterday (receipe courtesy of my Turkish friend hence the name) so had a big slice and a cuppa when I got back to cheer myself up.Ā  Glad I got all the garden work done yesterday as it's raining again today.Ā  Off to visit bestie this afternoon so more chocolate cake will probably be consumed.

Throw me a line I'm sinking fast!
Water is rapidly rising here, so no bed for me.

  • Good morning,
Looks lovely Pat, beautiful sky. We had a sunny day yesterday but rain forecast all week. No need for heating yet though, and as washing machine has been taken away to be fixedĀ  :( no drying to worry about either - yet - I hope it isn't away too long though, already got a small mountain and it only broke on Friday. I hope everyone else'e problems get resolved in some way today, some days can be a struggle to get through can't they! Good job we have gardens to relieve the stress.Ā

Hope the rain has stopped and the floods recededĀ @punkdoc.Ā
We have a rather lovely dry and still morning.Ā
Good luck with the washing machine @Dordogne Damsel ... you don’t want that laundry pile to grow 😱
