Morning Debs, you snuckered in there. Sorry to hear about your son's split from his girlfriend. I hope that you have a good drive over to Liverpool with your shed load of furniture! I gues your OH has a nice big van for his job, which must help in furniture removal.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning all . It’s a lovely day here . Pansy ,i would be furious , that sure is utter incompetence. Can you have another appointment? Debs , safe journey.LB ,enjoy your day .
Good morning to all. It's a beautiful day here. Sunny and warm, very pleasant. I'll have a whole day just for resting, a huge job wait for me tomorrow. All my potatoes must go out. If I wait, autumn rain can come and it will be heavy work.
LB have a good journey, wishing you well. LB and Hazel what lovely flowers such a vibrant blue. Joyce take it steady when the 'sco order arrives. Have a good day. Ante enjoy a restful day ahead of your potato day tomorrow you are organised. Deb's sorry to hear the news of your son. Hope things get better for him soon a sad time when relationships come to an end but he is still young and there is time for a new future for him. I hope things work out. Dad's reading glasses have arrived today so popping over with dad to pick them up and he can try some reading with them. Not overly warm today. Went for a lay down on the bed at 6.30pm yesterday and woke up on the bedcat 9.45am quite a long sleep but appreciated the rest. Pansy it's good you canvringvon Monday for another appointment with the phlebotomist and hope you get better treatment next time, may be a different phlebotomist. Just going to have a sandwich for lunch and then set off. Hope you have a good day whatever you are doing. Take care.
Afties all. I am cream crackered. Yes, Joyce and Ante I've been making food for tomorrow and baked a cake too. No big breakfast Chive. I won't bore you all with the full story about my brother's flight number being incorrect which meant it didn't appear on the Manchester Airport Arrivals screen - joy.
PF - my favourite wild life pic was the little cool dude gorilla but like Chive, I think they are all super. Glad to hear that you will be able to go and give the other 40% of your blood to give you flat feet again.
Ante - you have a big task ahead of you so I'm keeping fingers crossed that everything goes well with the big potao dig. When I was a pupil in school in Scotland (Dad was stationed at RAF Kinloss and I went to Forres Academy - bit of info for those of you oop north!) I used to go potato picking at the weekend this time of year. I loved being out in the fresh air but it was a hard and mucky job. The farmer was very nice to us and we all felt quite rich when we got paid.
Chey, what a nightmare for you earlier on - and no warning by the sounds of it. When I first moved into this house a van with a loud speaker used to drive round warning us when the water was going off. Happily that has not occurred recently. Glad to hear you now have water again and as PF said we just don't know how lucky we are to have instant clean water on demand.
Rebecca, I hope that the glasses you picked up for you Dad are doing the trick for him now.
Hello to anyone I've missed, yoo hoo to Pottie and greetings to all in the quiet corner.

Good evening one and all - from a very sunny Netherlands. OH has gone off to photograph windmills so I’m enjoying a little me time. Catch the ferry tomorrow lunchtime. We’ve really enjoyed this holiday so we’re coming back in October🤭
Hazel - (as we are the cyclists on this thread) - I’ve found cycling in Germany and NL to be a real pleasure. You have to come here! Everywhere has cycle routes / lanes / paths and bikes have right of way over cars and it’s just so easy. Everyone cycles. Most have electric sit-up-and-beg bikes like mine. Hardly anybody wears lycra (or a helmet🤔) to cycle. People leave ‘stuff’ on their bikes - and it’s safe. Low level crime is very low in most places. It’s just great.
Pansy - I was so sorry to hear about your problems at your appt. I get the impression that you’re like me and (whilst completely respecting the medical professionals) you don’t just ‘go along’ with what they say - and question when something doesn’t seem right. So that ‘mishap’ is pretty unforgiveable. I hope that, somewhere along the line, you get an apology. We all make mistakes. It’s bad to continue with the mistake when questioned. It’s downright wrong not to ‘fess up and say sorry when it’s wrong.
LB - enjoy your rellies time.
Rubee & Rebecca - hope the specs are good for OH / dad.
OH is back - Indonesian for dinner. SYL.

Biker and LB, lovely photos.
Chive enjoy decorating cake.
LB, what are you going to do in the kitchen?😉
Debs, your son is fortunate that you can take some furniture to him. Hope he gets over the split soon.
LB, are you contributing food to the family gathering tomorrow?
Ante, lots of digging for you tomorrow so enjoy a rest today. Love the taste of freshly dug potatoes.
I've just had the best shower of my life, Luco's TV is on, and all is well with the world.
You make a very good point Pansy - we're extremely fortunate to have access to clean, hot water whenever we want it.
