I wonder how effective Popeye was at persuading young people to eat their greens. I love spinach - but not out of a can. There was a disturbing story on breakfast this morning about a teenager who has lived entirely on chips, crisps and sausages for the last 10 years and he is now deaf and blind and suffering some bone damage from severe malnutrition.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I agree Ante. One of my nephews was like that when he was younger but he gradually improved and now -as a young man - eats a balanced diet. All he would eat when he was younger was hot dog sausages in a bread roll. My sister - his Mum - used to be so worried. He didn't even like chips - which was very strange.
That is a much more comfortable temperature for you Ante after the oppressive heat.
PF - please can I come to your wedding party as I have always wanted to do that. Mind you, it would have to be plates for me. Does this excellent shop sell cheap plates as well as glasses?

Morning everyone . Good that your weather is more comfortable ,Ante . It was fat that I couldn’t eat when I was young . My family liked fat in their Sunday joints .Looking at it turns my stomach .Don’t eat meat at all now .
Good morning all! Just read back what a hero and heroine you were with those cows! Well done! Hoping for a quiet sunny day in the garden feeling a bit out of sorts and the garden always helps. I am also rereading Jane Austen which is very calming.
PF I had to suppress a shudder and rush into my bathroom for the antihistamines. Those plates took me right back to school and watching those 11-16 year olds scoff their food down. It often wasn't a very pretty sight. Great plates for smashing though!

Wonderful morning here, rain, wind and comfortable 18 degrees. I have half an hour more and must go to nearby town.
LB it's so sad story but many young people don't want to eat proper meal. It's same all over the world.

Ante, pleased to hear you have cooler weather but it would be better without the rain.
Debs, hope you feel better soon. Relax and enjoy your book.
Pansy, I'm not guilty of breaking glasses or crockery. I still use some glasses from the family home. I've probably tempted fate now by saying that.
