Waved them all off. Fortunately several of the cyclists live locally and they cycled here so only an extra 4 cars on the drive. Have a feeling the window cleaner might turn up today so I'm just glad he'll still be able to get his van in - the windows have been covered in dust since the local farmers started on the cereal harvests.

Right - not sure what to do next (too many jobs to choose from) - so, if in doubt, have a cup of tea and a slice of toast😁

LB - you've reminded me - I also have a loyalty GC voucher to use before the end of the month. Not for much but enough to buy a few bulbs. Are they in the GC's yet?

I'm back. I cannot believe how restrained I was at the GC. I'm impressed with myself. No luck with ceramic bird baths - all just reconstituted stone. Very nice to look at but they are murder to keep clean. I have got a little stone one in the back garden but it gets filthy and I have to really (excuse me Col TT) scrub it with a brush. The ceramic one is a breeze to keep clean. I got the rake and I did actually buy something - 3 large bags of horticultural grit (special offer) which I'm going to use in my sedum and sempervivum troughs.
T'Bird, there are no bulbs in that particular GC as yet.

Going to a funeral this afternoon, a friend from the Golf Club. Such a lovely lady.

Morning all. Internet was off earlier.
There is a definite autumn chill in the air now but it's dry.

LB< that was a good buy at the GC.

Joyce - is the bucket in the loft managing to cope with all the rain so far?
