Yes indeed Joyce. I did better this week than last. I remember getting washed in the kitchen sink - what is today better known as a Belfast sink but when visiting my grandparents house it was the tin bath in front of the range.

Good morning everybody. Whatever you are doing today, make it special. I hope SGL is feeling more upbeat, that Ante's leg is recovered, that T'Bird has got the packing organised, that the poorly rellies of Rezzers are coping. It was lovely reminiscing last night. Lots of little things bringing back so many memories. I missed commenting on one of Chive's posts. I too have memories brought back through a smell. When we came back from Malaya and before Dad took up his next posting in RAF Kinloss we lived for a few months in Tenterden in Kent. My Grandmother came to stay with us and she introduced a certain washing up liquid to us - the one that has a baby in a nappy as its logo - and every time I smell the original version of that liquid I am taken right back.
Another thing I remember of that time was gooseberries. Grandma was a skilled cook and she got my Dad to buy a sack of goosegogs and we had them in every shape and form for the next several weeks. I still love them today.

Love goosegogs too LB hoping hubby can build me a fruit cage so I actually get some next year! Naughty birds! Planning a day in the garden today. Hope the sun shines
