Ante - I love that cartoon. Yes, if I went on holiday they would all ripen over night. Today is a day for taking things a bit easier after picking all your veg.

Lants, I'm a plant stroker too, especially if the plant has furry leaves.

    Tsk tsk Lants😉

Must admit I do occasionally touch plants and usually check roses for scent - but I try to do it very, very gently.

All stems from a little summer / volunteer job I did many years ago as a garden steward at a country house with an important rhodie / azalea collection. We were told to politely ask people not to pull at the plants / step in the borders / remove seed heads - my friend does all that...

We were told to be especially vigilant for little old ladies with nail scissors in their bag - all thinking that one little cutting wouldn't hurt...

Lants - the new MH feels very much like home from home. The only things I really miss in it are a bath and the SKY box.

BTW - good news - we appear to have fast internet👍

Trust me MU - once you’ve had superfast broadband you wouldn’t want to go back - being able to stream films / Tv / do computer updates in minutes instead of overnight - luvverly.😎

We also like the living-in-the-sticks lifestyle, which is why we’ve had to wait for fast broadband. But now it’s in our village - gotta have it!  huge uptake apparently. Best of both worlds😎

What’s your new signature? Is that your fave saying?

Evening all. M-U, that Bretton Hall is a beautiful building. I never did Bagpuss either T'Bird though I do know roughly that he's a big badly stuffed cat who lives in a shop window - leastways I THINK that is who he is.

Yes, I definitely feel like I missed something in not knowing Bagpuss.
Don't forget its Uni Chall tonight. I cannot believe where that week has gone!
