Broccoli is on the compost heap. To be honest, they weren't great specimens anyway. I have replaced them with the courgettes that I had in containers. Courgettes comply with the no bug hiding place specification😋
My grandad would be laughing. One of his favourite sayings when getting stuff out the garden was (in thick Black Country accent): "Me mon yowve godda ate a speck 'o dert fower ya duy". Roughly translated as "My man, you will unknowingly eat many things before one departs this earth. So don't worry about it."
Gardening. The cause of, and solution to, all of my problems.

Actually, my concerns (not a phobia!) do not include aphids. However, I would choose to avoid them😉
Close up and deeply into every orifice.
One slug is one too many. It put me off Cauliflower cheese for years, and that is my all time favourite vegetable meal.
A layer of bacon and extra cheese on top with BCB's.......
Totally understand the broccoli camouflage situation.
