Unfortunately there are a couple of people who seem intent on upsetting others which is upsetting because this is a gardening forum where it should be all love and tranquillity 😂 I once said somewhere that I love monty and I think he's a TV legend and I got some unbelievably unpleasant messages. The mind boggles
Unfortunately there are plenty of people that don’t report bad behaviour either, just look at the number of views of contentious posts as opposed to the number of posts. Rather than jump in, tempting as it is, just report it.
We all have grumpy off-days from time to time, Marc, so don’t take it personally. I had one myself recently and made an inappropriate comment. I did have the grace to apologise though 😇

I had a private message from someone because I disagreed what he/she said on a forum and someone else I know had the same problem with the same person which wasn't nice messages. I've now muted that person so now that will hopefully nip it in the bud so to speak 🌾✂😂
