When my freezer broke, mice chewed through the cable, they whole lot was insured and they replaced all the contents, including the whole lamb and half a side of beef I’d only just put in there.

Imagine trying to get half a cow into the food waste bin :o

I ordered my new work uniform today and I'm curmudgeonly about the lack of a tie.

@Hostafan1. Has your shop banished all plastic and paper bags now?

I bought some loose onions from Wrose this morning and they had home-compostable bags to put them in 😊

I like the Morrison's paper veg bags. Good as compost bin liners. Shame their veg is crappy though. We had bitter carrots and the stringiest celery I've ever eaten.

I use compostable bags to line my food waste bucket.  Before they are used for their intended purpose, I use them to put loose fruit and veg in them - good for a couple or so uses before they begin to look a bit careworn, and then they are used for their original purpose.  Win win, I think.

6 vine weevils tonight. A positive plague of pesky pests. I chopped down a calendula that had been stricken with powdery mildew and that seems to have been one of the sources of them as they were mostly near the empty pots.
