Weirdly the bodies of squished weevils disappear very quickly over night. I wish I had a way of recording what eats them.

Its more likely foxes round here, I haven't seen a hedgehog in our garden for about 10 years mores the pity. Foxes definitely eat slugs snails & worms.

No hedgehogs here sadly. Plenty about but they can't get near my garden thanks to neighbouring landscaping. My wildlife camera has a basic timelapse function though so maybe I'll see what that picks up. There's also a timelapse app for my Sony camera which should give better results but it looks quite daunting and I have to leave the camera outside all night. :#

Nearly ran over a young fox on the way home today.  It was running from hunters sweeping across the fields.   No grouse moors here and hunting season starts in September, or so I thought.   Horrid business.  Apparently they're quite good at shooting each other, despite the high viz jackets.

It's a shame more grouse shooters don't turn the guns on each other.

    2 more weevils tonight. :|
