    Actually I made some the other day 🙂

    Plus there's a good fossil record of them.

     split one open. If you're lucky you might find preserved fruit .

    🤔 anyone seen any rock cakes lately ... have they become extinct? 😲
    Not extinct.  My brother-in-law worked in a bakery when much younger.  Still makes great rock cakes.  Might even say they're cracking. :D

    Not sure that hot sun is typical of Dartmoor weather, as a rule.

    In my experience of pony trekking across Dartmoor, summer is either gloriously sunny or impenetrably foggy ... sometimes/often both on the same day 😂

    On check ups: it was the dentist who first identified my wife’s mouth cancer and her optician who identified the brain tumour. A routine mammogram detected the second breast cancer.
