My ex husband is a chartered accountant with a law degree, owns a bungalow and a part share in several race horses. His father was an unemployed alcoholic from the slums of Dublin and his mother used to be a cleaner. What class is he??
Just goes to show how ridiculous and out dated the class system is, you cannot pigeon hole people. I agree with dove that some folk are more influential because they went to the right schools etc but they are not a better class of person than I am.

..... Dove, I said JP, (and Chelsea is snobby) ...
No @Nanny Beach in your post at 10:39am you said,

“I didn’t realise this forum was so snobby. Don’t tell me none of the members actually live in a council house.”

i asked what what evidence you have that anyone on here is a snob ...

😊 Nanny B knows me well enough to know that I’m not arguing ... we’ve both been members here for years and years, haven’t we @Nanny Beach 😊

It is quite  possible to disagree politely and without arguing 🕊

Let me get real controversial here, I love it that the Duchess of Cambridge contributed to a Chelsea garden.

While the Queen is turning into my Mum, Prince William has the distinct look of Mussolini. Weird.

Pleased that the Duchess of Cambridge got involved in this project. She seemed to give it full commitment though I just wonder if the garden would have been in any way different had she not been in the design team.
