    You've missed out the 4th!!

I'm busy doing finishing bits and pieces in the kitchen where I have painted 2 walls and the column between the back door and window and have started applying smelly "produit" to an oak display cabinet in the dining room which is next for painting.  In between times, I've been out to get more produit, take Rasta for her haircut, take Bonzo for his nail trimming when I picked her up and picked up a big bag of mixed grains for the chooks - where a tray of 12 broccoli plugs and some red oak leaf lettuce leapt into the trolley.

Need to know when I can plant them in between furniture restoration.

    Bio , thanks for update
I known you said no gardening 2nd or 3 rd , o/h must have spotted that so we have started decorating a spare bedroom that she uses as a craft room

Have to say the amount of growth on trees & bushes is just amazing , have been pruning & trimming garden

Allotment , have dug up red onions & rest of shallots which are currently drying

Having a day at allotment tomorrow , will pull up broad beans for freezing
    French beans doing rather well

    Disappointed with gooseberries this year
Pleased to say Autumn raspberries that I moved have taken well but don’t think we will get much fruit this year

Weather , quiet nice but when it rains it throws it down , water butts are full , last week they where empty

Having a full day at allotment tomorrow

Lots of thing opening up and the covid going down , fingers crossed 🤞

I trust you & o/h are keeping well

Dross for weather for the last few days so I carried on painting.  Dining room done now and all the oak furniture scrubbed clean of old polish and two newly waxed.  T'other pair to do tomorrow.

It's going to be bright and sunny for a few days so I'm hoping to get lots of weeding and planting done - more brassicas, more salads, maybe some beets and pak choi.  Some flowers too.

Tomatoes are starting to produce lots of fruit but none ripe yet.  Chillies have started forming and we've had our first cucumber - all planted late cos of the cold spring.   Courgettes are cropping slowly but should do better if it warms up and the squash plants are busy with fruits too.   Loads of dahlia flowers in the cutting bed.

We use orange @biofreak for our mobiles and TV and modem which includes a phone that behaves like a fixed line.   Last year there was a loose connection in the box on the post outside and it took them about 6 weeks to come and fix it.  I did tell them an engineer had been playing in that box for a problem with our neighbour's service the day ours failed but they first insisted it was a problem in the house and sent us a new modem in the post and so on.   They did up OH's mobile data allowance by umpteen gigabytes for free and he was able to tether my PC to it so I had internet.

OH has been barrowing compost to newly cleared beds so, now that it is cooler, I can get the PSB in.   Been decorating the kitchen and dining room and renovating oak furniture for the last couple of weeks and then yesterday was just too hot to plant.

No beans or sweetcorn here as they need too much water.   The fennel has all bolted but the leeks, brassicas, salad leaves and Swiss chard are all doing fine and the tomatoes and chillies in the polytunnel are finally starting to ripen.  I have squashes and dahlias in a long bed with a seep hose and we've done well with soft fruits too.

Been to allotment this morning , now cleaned 3 large beds & covered with membrane to stop the weeds
    Started picking blackberries & blueberries
Planted some chard in a small bed
Started digging up main crop potatoes 🥔 , not many and small , as some had blight , so cut the tops off
Brassica the best we have ever grown

It Never ceases to amaze me how different  our crops are..really bad strawberries this year but brillant wild raspberries. How do I know when Butternut Squash is ready?I have five médium and one monster all feel the same to touch. Tomatoes have mildew  but are ripening well as are yellow  courgettes  Have just chopped off rotten leaves and all seems well. Signed up to Bouygues yesterday as Orange has lousy  reputation round here. Froze first Runner Beans yesterday .
