We've had rain @biofreak, most of the night according to the weather radar map but I don't know how much as the gauge seems not to be working. We've had enough to start the grass seed germinating in the new lawn. Looks as fluffy and sparse as a teenager's first growth at the mo.
PSB seeds are sprouting well but none of the other seeds I sowed on recent flower days. Earlier sown nasturtiums are finally showing thru but not yet the BC dahlias or the fiery coloured cosmos. Pleased about the PSB tho as we've had great crops this winter and spring and the chooks have had plenty too. They've enjoyed stripping the spent plants too. Just one left for them.
Tomato seedlings finally seem to be growing well too and look quite sturdy. I reorganised the polytunnel yesterday to give me more space for seedling trays and clear the way for tomatoes to be planted in the beds but it's too cold to finish that job today as I don't think the dahlias would be happy going out this pm as planned. They'll have to wait a week or so now.
As for Brexit, buying any seeds, plants and food products is going to be difficult for ages yet till companies get their paperwork and systems sorted. The British supermarket I use din Belgium (Golden syrup and Irish black and white puddings) are closing as they can't get supplies. Marmite and baked beans supplies have become patchy here. I'm happy with French bacon but not the stuff they call "bacon".
Wonderful. Thanks very much!! I see in pop up ad yesterday for Amazon baked beans 5euros a TIN!!!! Someone's taking the 'p'!!!! Luckily I can get all groceries via Ireland ..took 2yrs to organise it though!! Hoping it will warm up here soon. I gather they have snow in Scotland!! Shallots delighted with rain look fabulous and Broad Beans have perked up. Froze more Broccoli this afternoon.
If I get withdrawal symptoms I may ask you to order some Irish black and white puddings for me! I like the French and Belgian ones but not for a big breakfast grill. Baked beans and golden syrup have ended at my usual Leclerc but I have supplies of GS and can, so far, get baked beans sporadically in other shops here.
I can and do make good soda bread and can make potato pancakes if needed tho not too keen on them.

@biofreak , Astra Zeneca , unfortunately I was ill for just 2 days after first jab , 50/50 chance this time , however , I’m the only one I known that was ! Smuggling Baked Beans could be a nice little earner
Purple sprouting broccoli. Can't buy it in the shops or tenderstem either, just the chunky green stuff, so I was very pleased when this lot germinated as they're from a packet I opened last year. I have found a supplier of seeds here too so I have backups.

I see 'broccoli aux jets ' is sprouting broccoli here but I don't recognise the varieties .. luckily I have loads of seed from UK and it lasts over 5yrs apparently. Certainly can't buy it in the shops and even Metro the restaurant cash and carry doesn't have it although they stock some wonderful herbs etc. Lovely day today. Just broke up major cat fight in garden. Horrible looking black and white Tomcat came eyeball to eyeball with Boots the Bengal. Bengal won HURRAY!!! Spending afternoon in polytunnel..warmest place!!😊
Just dipped into Biodynamic Gardening Club Lectures on You Tube with Claire Hattersley. Excellent. Link:- biodynamic gardening club video 01. Very clear explanations of things we have already discussed on this Thread. Waiting for further info and Lecture on planetary influences on Weather coming shortly.
We had our first broad beans on Monday and the last few spears of our asparagus. OH has just gone out to pick strawberries for pud tonight.
Possum, our daughter, has decided she wants to make her own tisanes and tinctures and has asked to have her own bed with aromatics. She can use my rosemary, thymes and lavender but today we went out and bought chamomile, vervain/verbena, Moroccan mint, sage, oregano and a juniper. Now to make a planting plan and a new bed. We still need to find calendula, mugwort/artemisia and lemon balm which seem to be odd omissions in the shops.
I have lots of broccoli, red cabbage, fennel, lettuces and more strawberries to plant out on suitable days and I need to sow more carrots and spring onions as none of the last lot germinated. No idea why.

Seed supplies are easy enough form EU countries. Have a trawl thru this thread - https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1048376/uk-seeds-to-europe-and-northern-ireland-reminder/p1 checking for links to seed companies. You'll find everything you need - fruit, veg, herbs, spices, flowers, shrubs, trees......
