@Mr. Vine Eye , sorry to hear your leaving the plot but understandable
Personally I would write to my local MP , Councillors & Crime Commissioner

@Mr. Vine Eye certainly seems you have been let down by all those with power to take action.

Oh what a shame,  maybe there is another site in the area where you can have a better experience.

I managed a couple of hours too.  I dug out & barrowed 4 lots of soil from the communal compost area. There is a lot of rubbish in it, bits of plastic,  wire etc., but it's easy to pull out.  I am using it at the base of the deep beds, with bought in soil on top.  Just hope it works ok.
Brought home some more spuds from store, a dug parsnips,  they are beginning to grow so I  need to use them up.

Full day at the plots,  dug out the rest of one compost bin, to add to the 2nd  raspberry bed. Finished applying the wood treatment . Did some other digging.  I still need more topsoil though, I  probably should have bought a bulk bag but by the time you add delivery costs,  it's not much cheaper than buying bags.

Yesterday at plot , loads of jobs done , repair to old shed , used fire bin , bark chippings for paths , replaced a fence post , pruned fig , connected water butts at back of new shed etc
Next couple days showers & very windy , hoping to have a day there on Friday , soon will have all the little jobs done
If weather improves might think about sewing seeds in g/h next week

@Allotment boy a communal compost area sounds interesting

@Mr. Vine Eye  that sounds terrible - is there another site you could sign up for?

Hi,  not posted for a while. Everyone sounds busy on their plots. I've reawakened mine. Not been there for a while due to ill health. Took a couple of weekends but it's taking shape again.

Discovered we have 70 people on the waiting list.

@Gardengirl.. Ha, the  communal compost was an idea by the chairman who took over from me. We were having a lot of issues with complaints from the neighbouring houses about bonfires, so , they created two large bays with pallets on part of a plot that was never very good.  Unfortunately in spite of all the instructions people put all sorts of cr*p in them. However if you dig deeper down,  there is actually a lot of good soil in there.  I have used some of this in the bottom of my raised beds and I am topping off with good compost and some bought in topsoil.  I am hoping not too much weed comes through.
