I'm not sure as her boss was stopped and asked where he was going , but I've yet to hear of anyone around Lincoln having the same done.

We had a message from the council allotment officer where he has stated amongst other thing that the government guidelines about allotments being seen as legitimate exercise only applies to those who can walk or cycle to the site and that he sees 30 to 45 minutes on the plot as excessive, those with chickens can visit the site as that is classed as essential work. If the population don't act responsibly this weekend I can see allotments being closed.

Do you honestly believe that in London police officers are following people to see if they are out for longer than 30 minutes? It seems highly unlikely to me.
How do you go about getting a letter saying you are going to work? I work in a pharmacy and nobody has mentioned this to anyone here?

Your employer needs to write a letter for you to carry saying you are needed at work. @debs64 The police are watching particular spots and take notice of how long it takes someone to come past again it seems.

Yesterday for most of the day I was the only person there
Perhaps because it’s in the County side any way

Another good day at allotment , o/h re stained 1 of our sheds &  had a bun fire 🔥
I made a cold frame & dug up a Rosemary bush that the winter winds had finished off
As ever a few more little jobs
Lovely & sun but a bit windy at times
Again only a handful of people there

Hi, GWRS  I haven't posted for a while, hope you are well. Is Gardengirl still posting ?

On the plot today, briefly went on my bike, it's easier than walking.

I had major surgery in Feb, just before the lockdown, so had done all the heavy stuff on the plot before going into hospital, stocked up on mpc and prepped the plot for a lazy year. I'm trying to start off hot beds in the GH using straw bales which is proving harder than the video watched on u tube implied:)

I've also got weed suppressant cloth to plant through on a number of beds, so lifting  black plastic from each bed one at a time.

Garlic and onions were planted out in Oct-2019 and have wintered well.

Zoomer44 , I trust you are recovering well from your trip to Hospital
My  Autumn planted garlic , onions 🧅, including spring onions  & broad beans are also doing well
Hot bed sounding interesting? Have seen pictures on internet and agree it’s never that easy when you try these things yourself but it’s nice to play !
    Stay safe
