    Hello all
Purplerallim  , interesting you saying that , when at Morrisons on Friday I heard one of of staff say he just got his letter in case he gets stopped by Police 👮‍♀️
Went to plot to day for a couple of hours , o/h planted 1st early potatoes 🥔 and winter washed fruit trees 🌲
I repaired two broken fence posts , which was more difficult than I thought and even broke a shovel as I found a metal post I didn’t known was there , only 4 more to go
A bit more lawn edging in garden this afternoon
    Take care everybody

I’m only a three minute bike ride from the allotment. It’s  been an absolute godsend during this time to still be able to go there.

Finished making a fenced play area for the boys and we started sowing seeds in propagators to go in the new Polytunnel.

Got corn, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, dahlias and lavender done at the moment. Got lots more to start off at home.

we went for an hour this morning just to start digging beds but it’s going to be a major job. The area we started digging in had obviously had an old shed burnt as it was full of nails and hinges so that made digging a bit more awkward.

Ive removed several already, but there are a lot of very deeply rooted old shrubs that have been cut down but need the stumps removing. They’re dotted around in random places and have obviously been there for several years. A lot of work!

I'm glad I got done what needs doing as I hear that the government lockdown may be getting tighter in a few days time.

Our council allotment officer sent out an email the other day answering questions which had been sent to him, No we are not letting out any plots at the moment, No we won't be allowing any requests to keep chickens at the moment, Yes the rules that only two family members to be on one plot at any one time does apply to critical workers too, No bonfire season will not be extended, he also said that while on sites fixing warning signs he had observed people breaking coronavirus rules and that (most) when challenged  had acknowledged the fact and complied. He noticed signs saying that association fees were now due and that no fees should be collected at the present time, also if any plot holders are seen breaking coronavirus rules their tenancy will be terminated, if people keep breaking the rules a total shutdown will happen. A question about notices in other languages was to be put to the council. (I notice that allotment holders in Germany have to be able to understand German before getting a plot).

I went to my plot for a couple of hours this afternoon. I know it is selfish  but I was relived to see very few people there this time, it was very busy last Friday & though people were generally complying some were not, it made me feel uncomfortable being there.
Anyway planted some peas that I had grown in modules, plus more seed direct into the ground, covered an area that I haven't been able to dig yet, this high wind is drying the ground out too fast now- can't win after all the wet.

When I have spoken to the occasional person at allotment they have been well and truly keeping there distance I’m pleased to say
    Hoping to go tomorrow
Went for a long walk this afternoon and anybody we met also ensured there was plenty of distance between us
O/H did make a nice sign for our allotment as they have all been renumbered and it is far more logical
    Stay safe

The daughter informed me that in london you can only be out for a walk for half an hour, can't get far in 15 mins.🤔

Purplerallim , are they applying different rules in London ? I know it’s more densely populated than Lincolnshire
