I have rarely watched since Monty took over - he sends me to sleep. I have also heard most of what he has to say before. I deliberately tuned in to listen to Adam and found him to be very refreshing. Covering both plants and design aspects. For the first time ever I have watched it on playback to write down notes.

I enjoyed it more than I expected to (I too find his voice grating somehow) but he is enthusiastic and knows his stuff. I just had to laugh though when the opening shot was of him pushing a wheelbarrow with a dog alongside! I wonder if they deliberately filmed it like that to parody Monty?  The cat was lovely, I think they should show more cats!

I’m with @Lizzie27 ! Bring more cats. And that particular one was gorgeous, what sitting in the sun picking some cat mint. Aaaww... 😊

I was a huge Geoff Smith fan ... a recording of him listing plants for a shady garden on GQT will accompany me to my Desert Island. My OH knows he was the only rival he ever had 😉

I liked him too.  I've got his wee book on growing vegetables and can hear his voice when I read it.

What I wanted to investigate was the practicalities of watering feeding dusting and de-cobwebbing all those houseplants suspended from the ceiling
I’m sure I read an article on this and he said he spends one day a week just maintaining them (I’m guessing with a ladder 😁)

I suppose if he doesn't have an outside garden that's manageable.

The houseplant guy was amazing. I was really impressed and actually went out and bought a new houseplant, a little trailing pileata.
