@Suesyn that's never wrong I have a biggish (not @Hostafan1 size) garden and I cram the beds to bursting point, they don't always look perfect but about 4 times a year they look amazing. Haven't managed to get the constant perfection of seamless flowering yet. I have piles of bricks, wood, junk and 2 children which all makes the place slightly scruffy round edges but would love to see it on GW. I don't quite get the love in on Adams nickname it's a bit dull and obvious, as I'm a former prop forward and not very dainty I get called twinkle toes

I must say, Frosty’s cat was the star of the show - especially when he was playing parrot 😂😀 And I always loved Frances. Somehow I really enjoyed not having Monty and his claustrophobic garden. Sorry Monty...

Ash the cat is a real star! I much prefer to see a show-off cat than show-off children, but each to their own. I record it (old-fashioned, moi??) and fast-forward through the dull bits.

Recording shows, eh? Not done that in a while...... But I'm just about old enough to remember the days when I'd have to convince my mum that it was ok to record one channel whilst watching a completely different one. That was back when we used to have a telly from Radio Rentals. 😀

I do use iplayer and other catchup services for some things, but too many times I've gone to look for something that I missed only to find that its not available or I've left it too long and the episode I want isn't there any more. When I record something (onto the hard disk not tapes - my vhs recorder died several years ago) it's there when I want it even if it's weeks or months later. And I can fast-forward through the ads if it's something from a commercial channel.

@JennyJ please don't get me wrong, it wasn't a criticism in the slightest. Just made me smile thinking about trying to explain the concept of recording something of the TV to my kids!

No access to i-Player here so we record quite a lot and I always record cookery and garden problems so I can either FF or replay as needed.

Question - is that snipping of sweet pea tendrils a real tip or just an unnecessary faff?  I have managed to get some late sown sweet peas to the point of flowering in a big top I keep out of the hottest hours of sun and they are using their tendrils to support themselves on the obelisk.  Not a lot of tendrils sitting there doing nothing.

I still record on my VHS recorder. I see no reason to stop using it just because folk think I should jump on the endless , expensive , bandwagons of sky, netflix , amazon prime etc etc.
The can laugh all they like at my VHS and I'll laugh at them as they spend money hand over fist, I'll keep my VHS until it dies
