Anyone else enjoy the bit where Adam's cat was on the potting bench, and he very aptly said something like "I know none of you are paying attention at the moment because you're all watching the cat"? Very true - made both myself and my husband laugh out loud!!
I really look forward to the programme - I wouldn’t mind repeats or fillers, infact the how-to’s would work well as repeats. I liked Adam’s ideas re the ‘alternative’ veg containers. I am going to have a scout round later...
Those Daffodils! A bit extreme with the showing, but some gorgeous varieties.
I really enjoyed last night's episode. Adam's garden looked lovely in the sunshine with lots of space for future projects. His seed sowing for beginners was timely and enhanced by his cat getting involved. I would like to see his dog and the sheep next week. It was great to see Rachel de Thame and her envy inducing walled garden. Plenty of airtime to be had there over the coming season. I like her style of gardening and plant choices so very much hope to see her garden featured a lot in the future. The daffodil enthusiasts made me chuckle with the bondage method of preparing the flowers for show. I had no idea these flower competitions were so strictly judged and that is nigh on impossible to attain full marks. Interesting to learn the different way Narcissus are categorised by their flower form too. I will be looking out for Narcissus Avalanche this autumn...gorgeous flowers.
Our usual supermarkets, big and small, usually have a range of seeds, even if it's only lettuce, radish and carrots but my main one has a dozen sorts of green and podding beans plus loads of veg and flowers. Failing that just keep plugging away on the sites of all the usual suspects - Suttons, Thompson and Morgan, Mr Fothergills, Plant World, Chiltern, Seeds of Italy, Kokopelli - until one turns up trumps.

Don't think you have to have something to swap with ... it works on the Karma principle, what goes around comes around
