I fell asleep at the start and woke up just in time to learn it'll be form Adam's garden next week. Good. I shall catch up on replay but wouldn't be surprised if we get a lot of archive films for the foreseeable tho why Monty can't find half an hour of film worthy activities in his garden is beyond me.

And film it himself? What about the camera crew and director etc involved .., all travelling to his garden (and home) each week ... programmes don't make themselves ... and some of the crew may not be available or doing other stuff ... they’re probably not categorized as essential key workers travelling around the country.
If the ‘jobbing gardener’ who asked us if he should continue to build an elderly couple’s decking was told that he should stay at home, why should a tv crew travel around the country to make a programme for gardeners?
I have no objection to some old stuff being shown again ... these are not normal times ... a lot of things will change.

I absolutely agree @Dovefromabove but since they were, presumably, there for the opening sequence filming they could just as well have stayed long enough to film a whole half hour. Seems half baked to me. Having travelled there, make the most of it.

I don't think they were. I suspect that was a few rehashed bits and unused footage put together with a voiceover that Monty could do remotely. They film - what - 2 weeks ahead, 3 maybe? So the first episode was filmed before restrictions. Maybe they had an idea then what was coming so filmed some extra bits at the time and then edited it together. Since then they've had time to get a plan together. Perhaps Adam's place is closer to a local film team. Certainly the website is saying the next 2 episodes will be from his garden. I would guess they're going to do the same thing - film two episodes worth of Adam and then put it together with films already made and some stuff from previous years to make the next couple of shows.
I'm glad they're keeping it on air - there will be plenty of people on enforced gardening leave who have never watched it and who need some ideas and some help - even if regular viewers have seen it before.

Fair enough. It would be good to have garden show repeats too - old GH series such as Cottage Gardens, Paradise Gardens and especially Ornamental Kitchen Garden and AT's How to be a Gardener which was excellent. It would be a boon to all those with gardening time on their hands now but no or little idea of what and when.

I watched the first half of it and then fell asleep and woke up as the credits were rolling, I didn't even hear that it was to be from Adam's garden next week. Maybe it will be less sleep inducing.
