Got some photos of the Fiskars Weed Puller in action today. It cleared a lot of dandelions on the grass.
You can see the part of the handle cover made of plastic on the puller had been cracked, and chipped off, but it is not affecting weeding operation at all, and it is just cosmetic thing.
Great reviews, everyone, thanks for taking the time to post the pictures too Theleman. You did have fun
Looks like you have the lightweight version there is also a black and orange one, heavier I guess. Someone in the Amazon reviews somewhere said using them with damp soil helps, and as already mentioned pulling slowly.
Also nothing wrong with buying "second hand" or "used"one is as good, and means more money for plants...or soil to fill holes.
Yes, the weed puller tool works and it works well. However,
it works best for the tap rooted weeds in the lawn.
For dadelions in soil, it sometimes leaves parts of the root or stems in the soil after pulling, and I had to retry pulling them to get them out totally.
And for dadelions on the chipped path, or chipped area, or gravelled area, this tool does not work. It simply cannot drive into these areas, and still I need the old hand bladed weeder for them.
But still, this Fiskars weed puller is a good addition to weeding tool collection, if especially for the weeds in the lawn.
I think there are other similar weed pullers made by different manufacturers other than Fiskars, and they also seem operating in similar fashion.
And yes it worked out ok for me finding a used tool on Amazon Warehouse deal. It saved me about 18% from new price, and it had the handle cover chipped off, but the rest was fine working like new.

The best thing about this tool is that it's fun to use.
Wish I had bought it years ago.
