Why do you think we on this UK based forum can help when you live in Florida?

@micheleperez6257. But you  said before that the last one you had was very old.   Can you start again and tell the story in a simple straight forward form please.

That the OP writes ‘anyways’ rather than ‘anyway’ suggests he is American. If so, recommendations about UK lawnmowers may not be so useful.

Edit - and the fact it says Florida after his name, something I have only just noticed. D’oh!

I saw a programme about the wildlife of Florida it looks like a fascinating part of the world, outside of the tourist hot spots that is.

speaking as an retired experienced garden machinery dealer it all depends how well it is cleaned after each use to delay corrosion and that it is serviced each year

As l recall from my visits to Florida, their grass is very different, including St Augustine and Bermuda grass. Not sure that we can really compare length of usage time between British and USA lawnmowers in that case?

how long should a lawn mower last? How often is it used? 10 minutes a week? 8 hours a day?
What is the grass like it's being expected to cut? Well maintained and never more than a couple of inches long? very out of hand and 12" tall?
Was the machine the right machine for job in the first place? No point trying to cut an acre with a 12" blade.
I've got a Honda mower which was used for contract work for about 15 years, used 6 days a week and it's now 25 years old and still going strong.

and of course Florida is subtropical so they probably cut their grass over a longer season than we do.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I couldn’t see a ride on being any good to this poster, he’s already said he only has a small lawn.
